Stainless steel coils are often used in our daily life. This material can be applied to food equipment, chemical equipment, and of course, equipment in the atomic energy industry. But many people do not fully understand this type of product information. What are the characteristics of stainless steel coils? Let us give you a specific introduction below.

Stainless steel coils have many characteristics. Because of this, in the production process, there will be polishing characteristics. As long as a small amount of products, such as water heaters, water dispensers, etc., do not need to be polished. This function is required when using industrial equipment. Other materials of this type also have certain corrosion resistance and can be used for kitchen utensils, water heaters, water dispensers, etc. Many people have also taken anti-corrosion measures for this material.

The main difficulties in stainless steel coil processing are as follows:

1. Large cutting force and high cutting temperature: Stainless steel coils have high strength, large tangential stress and large plastic deformation during cutting, so the cutting force is large. In addition, the thermal conductivity of the material is extremely poor, which leads to an increase in cutting temperature, and the high temperature is often concentrated in a narrow area near the cutting edge of the tool, thereby accelerating the wear of the tool.

2. Severe work hardening: Stainless steel coils and some high-temperature alloy stainless steels have a high tendency to work hardening during cutting. Stainless steel coil processing plants usually have several times that of ordinary carbon steel. The tool cuts in the work hardening area, shortening the tool life.

3. Easy to stick to the tool: No matter what kind of stainless steel coil, it has the characteristics of tough chips and high cutting temperature during processing. When the tough chips flow over the front cutting edge, the adhesion phenomenon such as bonding and welding of the product will affect the surface roughness of the processed parts.

4. Accelerate tool wear: Stainless steel coils generally contain high melting point elements, high plasticity, high cutting temperature, accelerate tool wear, frequent sharpening and tool change, thereby affecting production efficiency, stainless steel processing price, and increasing tool costs.
